Sferic Mobile provides emergency managers, airport crews, stadium managers, event staff, facility managers and operation centers with on-the-go access to Earth Networks’ proprietary network of more than 12,000 professional-grade hyper-local weather stations and long-range world-wide lightning detection capabilities. Scope Of Work
New design and user interface accessible as a native mobile app while incoporating new Earth Network's branding. Purpose the design for alerting/notifications of lightning strikes to enterprise users. Allow for future expanding of additional components.
Challenges
Stripping down to relevant data and removing redundant information. Determining user flow and the effects of user flow disruption with the introduction of future components.

Use existing research, case studies, and conceptual wireframes provided by the product manager to visualize a user interface and determine best user flow.

Process
Safety from lightning is focused on as the main factor for the product need. The existence of the product depended on the realtime accessibility, dependibility, and portability of critical lightning data especially it's location.

Result
Upon final collaboration with other UX team members, designs were handed off to the product manager for further evaluation, testing, and development by an external source.
Metrics
Sferic Mobile is currently a downloadable product for enterprise customers. Statistically 95% of customers have downloaded and accessed the product on their mobile devices. There has been a 15% increase in new registrations as well as an increasing demand for Earth Network's more robust weather detection SaaS interface Sferic Maps for power users.
